         Contemporary Keyboarding Part

Left hand Sevenths & Right hand Major Scales

In this tutorial i will be showing you how to play major 7ths in the left hand while running its equivalent major scale (2 octaves) in the right. It is important for you to know that right from the start you need to get familiar with all the 12 keys on the keyboard. In Part 1 i will deal only with the key - C, RH will stand for right hand, LH for left hand

Key C
RH: C-E-G-B (root position), G-B-C-E (2nd Inversion)
this is how it works out:The numbers above the right hand are for running the major scale of C, with the thumb as finger 1 etc: the numbers beside the left hand are the fingers for playing each note of the chord. A chord is a number of 3 or 4 notes or sounds played simultaneously, So finger 5 stands for the "pinky" or little finger while finger 3 stands for the middle finger etc. The important thing is to start real slow and gradually increase speed till fluency and skill have been achieved. This exercise will greatly increase left and right hand coordination.
